mAadhaar App is developed to make easy way to carry your Aadhaar Card in Mobile. It is a new application of Mobile which is initiated and launched for general people by UIDAI (Unique Identification Authority of India). The Application helps you in carrying your Aadhaar Card in your Phone.
Only Android Version is available for mAadhaar App which can be easily downloaded from the Google Play Store. This makes it easy in carrying the Aadhaar Profile and unique identification and uses it for different purposes. It also allows users to unlock and lock their biometric data which is linked to secure their personal data.
Download UIDAI mAadhaar Mobile App:
The mAadhaar App is currently available only in Android version 5.0 and more. It can be downloaded and used using the following steps:
STEP 1: Go to Google Play Store on your Mobile of Android or click: https://play.google.com/store
STEP 2: Search mAadhaar in the Search bar in Google Play Store or you can directly click: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=in.gov.uidai.mAadhaarPlus
STEP 3: Download and install the application by allowing it for required authorizations.
STEP 4: Now create a password by opening the mAadhaar App in your mobile.
STEP 5: On the next screen opened, enter your Unique Aadhaar number or pick a QR code to setup your mAadhaar profile.
STEP 6: You will be sent a One Time Password (OTP) on your registered mobile number after the completion of 5th step, enter the received OTP and click on the verify button.
STEP 7: After the verification of OTP, your mAadhaar Profile would be setup and you can access the biometric data by locking and unlocking it.
As per the UIDAI, the mAadhaar App is present currently in beta mode. Hence the users of the App can face few issues while using it. Some of the main features of mAadhaar App are mentioned below.
Features of mAadhaar App:
- It allows you to carry your Aadhaar Profile in Mobile.
- You can view Aadhaar Profile via Quick Response (QR) code and share updated profile.
- Share electronic Know Your Customer (eKYC) details with telecommunications service providers.
- It also has TOTP (Time-based One-Time Password) feature which can be used instead of Short Messaging Service (SMS), based on One Time Password (OTP).
