The Railway Recruitment Control Board of India is an organization run by the government. The board was established in New Delhi’s Ministry of Railways in the year 1998, on 27th April. The Railway Recruitment Control Board deals with selection and recruitment of staffs for the Indian Railways. There are 21 centres of the Railway Recruitment Board in our country. Some of the places where these recruitment boards can be found are Ajmer, Bangalore, Guwahati, Kolkata, Siliguri, Patna, Jammu and Kashmir, Chennai, Chandigarh, Ahmedabad, etc.

The Railway Recruitment Control Board provides the appointment to thousands of people every year. The most significant online exam in the world was conducted by the Railway Recruitment Control Board in the year 2017. Railway Recruitment Board conducts these examinations every year for various posts in the Indian Railways. RRB Recruitment:

At present, the Indian Railways has released notifications for recruitment of employees for Grade D jobs. There are vacancies in posts of Gate man, Porter, Points man, Helper and several other posts across various regions. After visiting the official website of RRB, candidates can apply online for these posts.

Eligibility criteria for Group D jobs in the Indian Railways:

The minimum age has to be 18 years, and the maximum age at which you can appear at these exams is 31 years. There are categories for which age relaxation is there. An OBC candidate can apply for several categories of Group D jobs till the age of 33. There is an excellent news for ST and SC candidates. Earlier, the age relaxation was up to 33 years, and now it has become 35 years.

RRB Syllabus Details

The subjects for the written test are Mathematics, General Science, Reasoning and General Intelligence and Current Affairs. After passing this round, there is a PET (Physical Efficiency Test) for male candidates only. Such tests include 1000 m run within 4 minutes and carrying 35 kg weight.
