In case you are regular user of eBay, either selling or buying, there are ways in which you can personalize your summary so it is more intuitive and you can take the most advantage of it. Although it is very useful, most people don’t know it and use the default summary. Today you will learn how to personalize your My eBay summary.
What is My eBay summary?
When you enter eBay and you go to My eBay, you will see a page with the information of your selling and buying activity, with information like your history and the items you have available. This section the My eBay summary and it is customizable, so you can choose the order of the information and choose what you want to see.

Choosing what you see first
Depending on the things you usually do in eBay, you can choose to see some sections first. For example, if you dedicate to sell products, you may want to select viewing you selling list first.
To do this, go to My eBay summary and you will see in the right corner of the summary a message that says “My eBay landing page is set to” and the configuration that you have. Click on “Change”, which next to that message and a list of options will display, so click on what you want to see first and then click on the blue button “Apply”. You can choose among options like all selling, messages, bids/offers, etc.

By default, eBay shows the most frequently used sections in your summary, but you can change this according to your preferences going to “Page options” at the top of the page and clicking on the “Apply” button once you select what you want.
You can also modify the amount of items that are shown, as you have 10 by default.
Reordering your sections
Besides choosing what sections to see and the amount, you can also customize the order. In the tab “Activity”, which is the first that appears on the summary, you have different sections. To modify the order, go to the section you want to change and locate in the header of it the “Edit” menu. There you will have the option to move it up and down.
Deleting and restoring features
Once you delete a section or an item from your lists, the option of restoring it available.
To delete or restore a section go to “Page options”. Then you will see some check boxes next to the each section on the list, mark them or unmark them to choose which ones you want and which ones you don’t.
For items, the process is quite similar. No matter if is from the buyer list or the selling list, you eliminate them just by clicking the check box of the sections you want to erase and then clicking on the “Delete” button, which is at the bottom. To restore them, go to the “Deleted” link which is on the left side, under “Buy” or “Sell” and repeat the process: mark the check box of the ones you want to restore and click on “Undelete”.
The exceptions of this are the items of the Watching list, as they cannot be restored once you delete them.
Customizing how much detail is shown
You can choose how much detail you want to see of your items in each listing, so it is easier to sort out your products. To do it you just have to click “Edit” in the section’s head and select “Customize”. Here you can select if you just want the basic information or more details. Once you have done the changes, click on “Apply”.
Changing the color of the section header
If you want to modify the appearance of My eBay summary, you can change the color of the header to green, blue, gray, orange or red. To do it you just have to click on “Edit”, which is next to header of the section you want to modify and then select the color of your preference.
