Rama Rao has released the brochures for the auction of the stray plots in front of T. Chiranjeevulu, the HMDA Commissioner and Arvind Kumar as the Chief Secretary. In the first phase of the e-auction, 229 plots in total from several layouts with the total area of 1.16 lakh sq. Yards will be up for auction. These are all HMDA approved layouts. The plots are situated in the areas like Dulapally, Bhuvanagiri, Attapur, Jalpally, Shaikhpet, Tellapur, Mankhal, Bachupalli, Saroornagar, Nandagiri Hills, Ameenpur, Gopanpally, Mamidipalli and many others. Those who are unwilling to take part in the plot auction are allowed to file e-tender, mentioning the price of the desired plot. One can obtain the e-tender document directly from the official website launched by the Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority through HDMA login.
Applicants to e-auction and e-tender have to pay Rs 10,000 during registration as well as the EMD (Earned Money Deposit) stated for a particular plot. At the time of the auction, a participant has to quote minimum Rs 100 more as opposed to the optional value quoted by HMDA. The optional value is generally 1.5- 3.5 times of the value of the registration which is lower than the rate at which the plot is available in the offline market. If the response made by just one bidder, the auction will cancel by HMDA and bid for the respective plot will start freshly. After winning any bid, the candidates, need to pay the total price’s 25% within the first week and the remaining amount can be paid before the completion of 60 days.
According to Mr Chiranjeevulu, the authority is expecting in order to earn an amount of Rs 1000 crore in 6 months through its auctions.
