History of the Swachh Bharat Mission
Sewage contamination of bathing, as well as drinking water and open defecation, is endemic sanitary issues in India. In the year 2017, a worldwide survey revealed everything. This particular survey showed that India is the country where they saw open defecation practice mostly. They found nearly 525 million inhabitants of our country who defecate in public spaces. After that, Narendra Modi decided to launch the Swachh Bharat Mission.
The expected cost of the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan is Rs 620 billion. The World Bank has also contributed to this brilliant scheme. The government provided Rs. 12000 as an incentive for the construction of toilet. The government wants to help each family below the poverty line.
