The Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship or MSDE is a Ministry of the Indian Government established in the year 2014, on 9th November for monitoring skill development programs all over India. The Ministry of Labor and Employment used to take care of several skill development programs like the apprenticeship, industrial training, etc. until 2015, 16th April. The goal of MSDE is to prepare a “Skilled India.” Its mission is to eliminate the disconnect that exists between supply and demand of the trained workforce and to upgrade skills. MSDE wants to create new capabilities and encourage innovative thinking for both existing jobs and new jobs, the opportunities that the people will encounter in future.

The National Skill Development Corporation invites and motivates innovative notions, practices, and concepts on the development of skills. They have set up a committee for reviewing all the possibilities of innovation and applying them on a large scale. The partner organization of MSDE
Wadhwani Operating Foundation is the partner organization of the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship. This organization, formed in 2000, works with the mission of economic acceleration in future economies through initiatives on a large scale for development of skills and creation of jobs.
Wadhwani Operating Foundation founded the National Entrepreneurship Network or NEN in the year 2003. NEN has a massive network of 3200 faculty and 4000 mentors in 600 colleges in India that educate, inspire and offer support to emerging entrepreneurs.
