City Palace Udaipur
City Palace Udaipur is a palace located in the city of Udaipur in the Rajasthan State. Construction of Udaipur Palace took place over four centuries by many rulers of Mewar Dynasty. Maharana Udai Singh started its construction as he moved his capital from the former Chittorgarh to the newly created city, Udaipur, India. The City Palace was constructed simultaneously with the foundation of the Udaipur city. It is one of the Best Places to Visit in Jaipur From this palace, the Maharanas carried out their administration. City Palace was also their royal House. After the exile of Maharana Udai Singh at Chittorgarh, he decided to move the capital to secure place. He chose a site on the bank of Lake Pichola for his new kingdom. This site surrounded by lakes, forests, and ranges of Aravalli. He found this location secured and perfect to build a capital. The Royal courtyard or ‘Rai Angan’ is the primal royal structure which was the beginning of the City Palace building.

Gateways called Pols in Rajasthani Language are set to the east of Udaipur city. Many gateways render access to the palace.
Amar Vilas
Amar Vilas is the topmost court inside the palace complex, which is an overhead garden. It also the most famous tourist spot in the Udaipur city.
Badi Mahal
Badi Mahal famed as Garden Palace is the central palace located on an 89 ft high natural rock placement.
Durbar Hall
Durbar Hall was built within the Fatehprakash Palace in 1909 as a venue for official functions like State banquets and meetings.

Fatehprakash Palace is now a lavish hotel. It is said that the packages comprising crystals stayed sealed for a century.
Manak Mahal

City Palace Museum Udaipur
A portion of the ‘Zenana Mahal and the city palace transformed into a museum in 1974, This museum is open for public access. Museum timings are from 9:30 am to 5:30 pm. Entry fees for Adults, Children (age 5-18yrs), group of students is Rs 250, Rs 100, Rs 100 respectively. Entry is free for children below 5 years of age. To enjoy Photography 200Rs fee to carry cameras.
The other structures found inside the complex are, Chini Chitrashala, Krishna Vilas, Laxmi Vilas Chowk, Rang Bhawan, Sheesh Mahal, Bhim Vilas, Dilkhusha Mahal, Choti Chitrashali, Mor chowk.

- Udaipur Palace is open from 7 am to11pm.
- Entrance fee for adults to limited places is Rs 30
- entrance fee for children to limited places is Rs 15
There will be other entrance fees for the places within the palace. Tickets counters are available at Sheetla Mata gate and Badi pol.
